Former Minister of Culture, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has lamented alleged marginalisation of the Southern part of the country by the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, saying he weeps over the matter daily.

Fani-Kayode, a fierce critic of the current president and ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), made this known in a series of tweets via his verified Twitter handle on Saturday morning.

Quoting the Southern and Middle Belt Leaders Forum, which slammed the appointment of Yusuf Magaji Bichi as new Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Fani-Kayode said that no presidential aspirant of the PDP would attempt to northernise the country’s leadership as allegedly being done by the Buhari administration.

“In 2015 I warned Nigerians but they would not listen. Sad that it has come to this. I weep for Nigeria every day.

“Buhari is a meglomaniac and an extremist. Worst of all he is unintelligent, insensitive and incompetent. There is no presidential aspirant in the PDP that would attempt to effect the kind of northernisation, fulanisation and islamisation policy that Buhari is effecting today.

“Neither Makarfi, Kwankwaso, Turaki, Jang, Saraki, Tambuwal, Atiku, Lamido nor Mark would try it. I know each of them very well and it is not in their temperement or disposition.

“They see Nigerans as equals, whether northern or southern or whether Christian or Muslim.

“If they did not I would call them out. None of them would insult our sensibilities, assault our dignity, divide our people and destroy our unity the way Buhari has done. None of them would humiliate, endanger and display utter contempt for the Middle Belt the way Buhari has done.

“None of them would strip the south bare, cheat her, denigrate her, rape her and rub her face in the mud the way that Buhari has done. None of them would happily preside over the genocide, mass murder and ethnic cleansing of Christians the way that Buhari has done.”

In the same vein, the ex-Aviation minister commended Kemi Adeosun for resigning her appointment as Minister of Finance over the infamous NYSC certificate forgery scandal that trailed her for months.

He said, “I commend Kemi Adeosun, the former Min. of Finance, for courageously treading the path of honor by resigning. I was one of her harshest critics but the fact that she has stepped down impresses me. How I wish that Buhari himself would take a cue from her and step down as well.”
