Linda Osifo, a Nollywood actress, has explained why actresses appear to be doing better financially than their male colleagues.

The 29-year-old disclosed this during a chat with popular TV personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

For years, actresses have been shamed for allegedly engaging in prostitution to make money, buy flashy cars and build expensive homes.

However, Osifo said that actresses tend to get richer than their male counterparts because of the variety of money-making ventures available to the female folk.

“As a woman compared to a man I have more options to get more jobs than a man.

“I can advertise hair, wigs, shoes and a wide range of clothes from brands which most men cannot. The ratio of men to women is 1:3 which makes the market wider for us.

“I’ve become a brand ambassador to skincare brands and that’s an industry that men don’t dominate and conquer so this is how women are more successful.

“Women have more opportunities to make money,” Osifo sad.

She noted that actresses are oftentimes accused of illicit affairs because of the erroneous belief that a woman cannot succeed on her own merit.

Last year, the actress announced the purchase of a new car valued at N20 million.

In 2019, she equally took to Instagram to reveal that she had purchased a new home.
