Daniel Bwala, a lawyer and associate of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has carpeted Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike over his comments about the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate.

During an interview on Channels TV, Wike advised Atiku and Peter Obi of Labour Party (LP) to dump their bid to challenge Wednesday’s verdict of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) which affirmed the victory of Bola Tinubu of All Progressives Congress (APC).

He accused the opposition candidates of relying on propaganda and social media to win their cases at the PEPT instead of presenting evidence and facts.

He also called on the PDP to suspend Atiku, saying the presidential candidate’s presence was inimical to the party’s progress.

He said, “How would the PDP have won that election when it refused to consider the mood of the nation at that time? Look at the areas where PDP lost. It lost because of arrogance, greed and impunity.

“That is why I am calling on the National Working Committee of the party to suspend the presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar; the immediate governor of Sokoto State Aminu Tambuwal, from the party so that they can rebuild the party.”

Reacting, Bwala said Wike was a nobody when Atiku and others founded the PDP.

He said, “It is funny to hear Wike on Channels Television denigrating Atiku and calling for his suspension.

“When Atiku and the rest of the founding fathers were forming the party, Wike was allegedly cutting his teeth at Mile 3 motor park, working under Azuibuike Nnerekini, then chairman of NURTW.

“Atiku will forever never be his mate. All his political fathers and grandfathers were Atiku’s political sons and grandsons. So Atiku should be Wike’s political great great grandfather. Go and verify.”
