Yahaya Bello in trouble over impeached Achuba as Reps members react

Members of the House of Representatives on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have reacted to the the impeachment of Simon Achuba as the deputy governor of Kogi state.

The lawmaker described the action as illegal  and undemocratic. The lawmakers said :“The time to act is now, and fast we must act; we hereby call for the immediate reinstatement of Mr Simon Achuba as deputy governor of Kogi.

“We must therefore all rise up to defend democracy, due process and the rule of law and by implication defend the sanctity of our country.”

Meanwhile, The Herald earlier reported that David Onoja was  confirmed as Kogi state deputy governor.  Onoja, who was the immediate past Chief of Staff to Governor Yahaya Bello, was on Monday, October 21, confirmed at exactly 8:27 am by  the state house of assembly

Prince Mathew Kolawole, the speaker of the house, urged the new deputy governor to  support Bello’s plan to  bring more great development in the state.

The Herald earlier reported that the  impeached deputy governor of  state, Elder Simon Achuba, claimed that he was treated like a common criminal moments after the State House of Assembly made its pronouncement about his removal.
