Disney has added the childhood classic cartoon, Peter Pan to its collection of live-action movies.
It has been revealed that Peter Pan & Wendy, the remake will be hitting the theatre in months to come.
It comes as a surprise to see the star of Grownish movie, Yara Shahidi starring as Tinkerbell in the upcoming movie.

This was revealed on Tuesday, February 28 when the trailer was dropped and we get to see the actress in character.

The movie directed by David Lowrey has seen backlash from Twitter as the trailer reveals Tinkerbell to be black— as opposed to the blonde Tinkerbell in the original movie.

A Twitter user pointed out that the only Disney Project with a proper black lead was The Princess and the Frog and stated how appalling it is for Disney to suddenly switch out their white characters for black characters.
So instead of giving poc their own movies or making new movies with poc characters, they decided to just make white characters black for some reason to be like heey we are so accepting we support everyone.. this is so weird, other then princess and the frog there isnt any other
