Yobe State House of Assembly Member Tests Positive for COVID-19

A member of the Yobe State House of Assembly, has tested positive for COVID-19.

Lawan Nguru representing Nguru Central Constituency in Yobe State announced his COVID-19 status through a statement on Wednesday.

Nguru who is the only member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Yobe state Assembly, said further that he has gone into isolation and started treatment.

He expressed optimism that he would beat the disease and come back stronger than ever.

“Presently, I am in isolation centre and recuperating in a very stable condition waiting for further directives from Health officers. In addition, I salute the gesture shown to us by Yobe State Government in up keeping the victims and in controlling the spread of the virus in the state,” he said.

The state currently has 13 confirmed Coronavirus cases.
