The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Mai Mala Buni on Sunday commended governor Shettima’s priority attention to the welfare of Internally Displaced Persons, despite economic challenges.
Buni told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Maiduguri that the governor never abandoned his people, even when about 22 of the state’s local government areas were in the hands of Boko Haram and with less support from the past administration.
He noted that despite the economic challenges that had made some states unable to pay their workers, Shettima has continued to pay his workers’ entitlements as at when due.
He urged Nigerians to hate corruption and stand with President Muhammadu Buhari in his effort at healing the country of its woes. (NAN)
