An 18 year old boy who was rescued by the German firefighters, broke into a German prison in other to convince his girlfriend to not breakup their relationship.
Spokeswoman to the police, on Thursday, disclosed that the teenager broke into a detention facility in the northwestern town of Vechta.
According to reports, his girlfriend who is an inmate in the prison had recently broken up with him. He was believed to have used a lamp post to climb the 4-meter prison walls.
DG, a German news publication firm, reported that the 18-year-old removed most of his clothing in order to avoid getting trapped on the razor wire.
According to the DPA news agency, DG said;
“He then proceeded to climb the wall of the inmate housing building and reach the barred window of his ex-girlfriend’s cell on the first floor. He was soon discovered by the prison staff but refused to climb down. Eventually, firefighters reached the prison and managed to remove the youth using an extendable ladder. The man suffered a minor injury in the process,”

The love sick boy is currently under investigation for likely charges of breaking and entering into the prison facility, also for attempting illicit contact with a prisoner.
It is yet to be ascertained whether the dangerous stunt he pulled, which jeopardized his life, was able to save the relationship.
