Brazilian Football legend Pele’s son sentenced to 13years In prison

Edinho, son to Brazilian football legend Pele, has been sentenced to 13 years in Prison for money laundering and drug trafficking charges.

The young man who was once a goalkeeper for several clubs in Brazil in the late 1990’s, had been sentenced to 33 years imprisonment, to which the case was appealed.

The former goalkeeper did not serve the first sentence until the new court ruling was handed down to him on Friday.

Pele, who had refused to comment on the matter, was one of the best footballers in Brazil.

However, Edinho, continued to maintain his innocence on the matter claiming he had been accused and sentenced wrongly.

He said, “I am very frustrated because I am being accused of money laundering and I never did that, there is no evidence of that,’
