Why Buhari, Senators, Reps Can’t Give Nigerians Stable Electricity – Shehu Sani

The senator representing Kaduna Central senatorial district, Sen. Shehu Sani, has explained why the nation’s leadership cannot provide stable electricity to Nigerians.

Sani gave the insight in a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Saturday afternoon.

According to him, stable supply of electricity to the Presidential Villa and the Three Arms Zone, the seat of the National Assembly Complex, has served to cut the nation’s leaders off from the real situation of electricity supply to Nigerians.

He said that until the President, Senators and House of Representatives members were exposed to the real state of the power sector, Nigerians would never get stable electricity.

Sani warned that leaders enjoying stable power should not expect patriotism from followers that are suffering.

The senator wrote, “Providing uninterrupted power supply to the Villa or the three arms zone by connecting them directly to the national grid, amounts to insulating the leadership from the realities of their nation & their people: Those in the light shouldn’t expect patriotism from those in Darkness.”
