Former miltary governor of Lagos and Imo states, Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu is dead.
He was military governor of Imo State in 1975 and governor of Lagos in 1976.
The Herald learnt that he died aged 77 in a hospital.
Although the cause of death could not be confirmed as of press time, Kanu was said to have been ill for a long time.
National Publicity Secretary of Afenifere and close associate of Kanu, Yinka Odumakin confirmed his demise.
He described the ex-military officer’s death as a “sad development”.
However, he said that a statement would soon be released on his death.
