AFCON 2023: Tweeps Blast Kemi Olunloyo Over ‘Negative Comments’ About Super Eagles, Nigeria

Tweeps have flooded X formerly known as Twitter to lambasts controversial journalist Kemi Olunloyo over her revelation about Nigeria, and the Super Eagles performance at the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.

The Herald reports that Kemi Olunloyo had in a tweet described Nigeria as a useless country, predicted that Nigeria lost the AFCON games in her dreams.

Her tweet reads thus; “As much as I don’t like soccer or even learn it seeing men kicking 🦵🏽 a ball with their legs, NOTHING unites Nigerians except SOCCER 🥅 ⚽️
Hopefully when you carry your game to us in North America 🇺🇸🇨🇦 for #WorldCup2026 we can understand this game better. Yes I dreamt that Nigeria lost and I saw it spiritually.
