Former minister of state for education and governorship aspirant on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Chief Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike has vowed that he would chase All Progressives Congress (APC) out of Rivers State, if voted into office in 2015.
Wike said this in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area during a solidarity rally, organised by the ONELGA PDP, in conjunction with the Orashi region.
The governorship hopeful said; “We must begin to ask those serving with the outgoing administration what they have done with enormous resources at their disposal.”
“I urge you to vote me on December 8 during the PDP governorship primary and go ahead to vote me during the governorship election. We have to change the fortunes of Rivers State. You know my pedigree as a performer. I intend to build on my wonderful performance in the past.”
The aspirants also used the occasion to commission his campaign office in the area.
He said: “I will chase out APC from Rivers State, if given the mandate on Decembers 8, (election of governorship candidate by delegates). Go home and sleep, I will chase out APC from River State. The governor was buying forms for those Abuja PDP governorship aspirants. The governor knows that if Wike takes over, ‘alarm will blow’.”
