Anambra Governor’s Aide On Television Documentary Dies In His Sleep

The Senior Special Assistant to Anambra Governor on Television Documentary, Randie Chima, has died in his sleep.

Vanguard, quoting government sources, reported that Chima was found dead in his room at Nwakpodulu Avenue, Awka, the Anambra State capital.

He was said to be looking hale and hearty at his last outing on Friday.

The 57-year-old Chima’s lifeless body was said to have been discovered by neighbours who forced his door open after he failed to respond to knocks on it.

After neighbours reported the incident at the police station, a team of police detectives were sent to photograph the scene and rush the victim to the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Awka, where he was certified dead by a medical doctor.

The Anambra State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the death of Governor Willie Obiano’s aide on Sunday.

Mohammed said, “There was a report at B Division, Awka, that one Randie Chima, aged 57 years, of Nwakpodulu Avenue and SSA to Anambra State Governor on Audio Visual Productions, slept the previous night and did not open his door the next day.

“When the door was eventually forced opened after several knocks by his neighbours, his body was found on the bed.

“Following the report, Police detectives attached to B Division, Awka, led by the DCO, visited the scene, photographed the victim and rushed him to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Awka, where he was certified dead by a medical doctor.”
