Arsene Wenger Strongly Defends LVG As Man United Manager

Arsenal manager and longest serving coach in the English Premier League still activee, Arsene Wenger has risen in strong defence of Manchester United manager, Louis van Gaal.

United lost to Norwich in their last game in the EPL over the weekend, taking the team to six consecutive games without a win in all competitions, including an embarrassing ouster from the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.

While the management of the Old Trafford-based team have not come out to say they were displeased with the 64-year-old Dutch manager, he has been much vilified by Red Devil fans, who have called for his replacement.

Many of the fans have equally called for Jose Mourinho, who was sacked last Thursday by Chelsea or Pep Guardiola, current Bayern Munich coach whose current deal expires in 2016, to replace the experienced gaffer.

But in a show of support that cuts across as strong, Wenger said LvG should be given more time to turn things around at United.
