All the presidential aspirants seeking to vie for the office of the president on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have signed a binding agreement with the leadership.

According to information emanating from the party, this is to prevent the aspirants from decamping to another political party on account of failing to secure the party’s ticket during the primaries.

Also, by the agreement, the aspirants have accepted to abide by the rules and regulations of the party as it affects the conduct of the presidential primaries.

The extraction of the written agreement from aspirants came just as the party said it would go ahead to hold the December 10 presidential convention/primaries in Lagos despite protest registered by three aspirants, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, Kano Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso and Imo Governor, Rochas Okorocha.

Meanwhile, The National Convention Committee of the All Progressives a Congress has said that about 8,000 delegates will attend the national convention of the party slated for the Teslim Balogum Stadium, Lagos, to elect the party’s presidential candidate.

The Chairman of the committee and former governor of Ekiti state, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, said at a news conference that although some of the aspirants expressed concern about traveling such a long distance for the convention, the committee was able to convince them on why they chose Lagos for the event.
