Borno Attack: President Buhari Orders Military to Pursue Boko Haram

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed shock at the barbaric attack carried out by Boko Haram in which at least 81 people lost their lives in Gubio local government Borno State.

The president subsequently ordered the Nigerian Military to pursue the terrorists and make them pay for the terrible massacre.

President Buhari who spoke through presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu said he is expecting a detailed briefing on the incident by Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno state who conducted a personal assesment of the affected local government area.

“The primordial nature of the killings is particularly shocking because it happened not long after the Ramadan and Eid, and the country is preparing to celebrate Democracy Day.” the President noted.

The President thereafter charged the Nigerian military to sustain its successes against Boko Haram and make them pay heavily for the latest attacks in Borno.

Buhari ordered the military to rescue the captured villagers as well as over 400 rustled cattle.

He concluded by expressing his condolences to the families of the murdered villagers as well as the government and people of Borno State.
