Breaking: INEC Perform About Face, Postpone Edo Election

After earlier resolving to continue with the September 10 Edo elections as planned, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have again changed their minds and postponed the election.

The elections have now been pushed by another 2 weeks.

The DSS and other security agencies had tried to prevail on the commission over security fears.

It seems this has worked as INEC has now bowed to pressure and shifted the elections despite its initial stance to continue with the election.
