Buhari Strategizes With Borno Governor To Tackle Insecurity

Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday, held a meeting with the Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, supposedly due to the country’s state of insecurity.

The meeting supposedly centered around proposing ways to tackle the insecurity issues.

The two politicians, from Northern origins, met behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

As of time of publishing this story, The Office of the Presidency was yet to issue a statement regarding the meeting.

Also, Governor Babagana Zulum failed to communicate with State House correspondents after the conclusion of the meeting.

In recent times, Borno state has become the capital of insurgency in Nigeria following the activities of terrorist group, Boko Haram.

Over three people were confirmed dead, last Saturday, after Boko Haram attacked communities in the Hawul Local Government Area of Borno state.

The terrorists reportedly destroyed schools, worship centres and buildings during the attack on the four communities.

The State Governor cancelled his trip to Abuja to visit the communities affected.
