Catholic seminarian dies as bandits burn parish house in Kaduna

A seminarian, Na’aman Danlami, has died in an inferno caused by bandits who set ablaze the parish house located within the  St. Raphael Parish in Fadan Kamantan, Kafanchan Diocese in Southern Kaduna.

It was learnt that the bandits invaded the parish on Thursday night, causing the priests and seminarians to scamper for safety.

Danlami was said to have been unlucky to get caught in the inferno and died.

His remains had since been deposited in the mortuary.

Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Kaduna State, Rev. John Hayab, who confirmed the incident, said, “It is very sad that killings and this type of evil are still going on.”

There has been no official confirmation of the incident from either the Kaduna State Government or the Kaduna State Police Command.
