Check Out The Full Nomination List For The Upcoming 9th Edition of the AMVCA Award Ceremony -

The annual Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Award is here and it is set to hold in Lagos, Nigeria on the 20th of May, 2023.

As is with the customs, the nomination list for the award has been released- it was released last night, Sunday, April 16th, 2023.

While some of these nomination categories are open for viewers to vote for their desired public figure, other categories are at the mercy of the judging panel being led by Femi Odugbemi; a film director and writer.

Nigeria’s stellar producer and filmmaker, Kunle Afolayon’s Netflix movie, Anikulapo, has bagged the most nominations at a total of sixteen, with Best Overall Movie and Best Yoruba Movie included in the nomination.

Also, Jade Osiberu’s recently released Brotherhood movie has bagged a total of eleven nominations. Same also with Chinenye Nworah’s Shanty Town.

Exceptional actor, Tobi Bakre, has been nominated for Best Actor in his role as Akin Adetula in Brotherhood; Bimbo Ademoye was also nominated for Best Actress following her role in Anikulapo.
