Popular singer Charles Chibuezechukwu, widely known as Crayon, stirred the music scene with bold claims that he is a regen (a regenerated version) of Grammy-winning artist Wizkid. The ‘Ngozi’ crooner also asserted that he carries influences from Canadian superstars Drake and Justin Bieber.
Taking to his X handle on Saturday, Crayon shared his thoughts, stating, “I feel like I’m Wizkid REGEN with a touch of Drake and Justin Bieber!”
In a follow-up post, he addressed the perception of his humility, clarifying that it doesn’t diminish his awareness of his talents. “The fact that I’m humble doesn’t mean that I don’t know what I possess or what I’m carrying on the inside! I am aware!” he emphasized.
Crayon extended his regen analogy to his record label mate and frequent collaborator, Rema. He expressed his belief that Rema is a Burna Boy regen with additional influences from American rappers Travis Scott and Playboy Carti.
“I feel like Rema is Burna Boy REGEN with a touch of Travis Scott and Playboy Carti!” Crayon declared.
