The violence that is inherent in Western hip hop music is slowly creeping into the Nigerian entertainment industry. Today, Nigerian musician Dammy Krane threatened to assault Wizkid over some misappropriated tracks.
In a series of tweets, Dammy Krane accused the Starboy CEO of jacking his beats and tracks, which seems unlikely as some producers shop their beats around to the highest bidder.
Krane whose twitter is @dammy_krane said he was about to beat Wizkid up (both entertainers probably weigh less than 60kg soaking wet) but he was restrained by bystanders who he said begged him not to beat Wizkid up.
Our guess is Dammy Krane is not aware that 20 men shall fall the day they cross the Starboy’s lane. Maybe he did not get the memo. Hopefully these grown men/children will sheathe their swords before we accidentally have a Biggie and Tupac situation on our hands in Nigeria.
With great power comes great responsibility, goes the famous saying. Now whilst no one is expecting marijuana crushing, video vixen slaying, baby mama having celebs to be role models, the truth is millions of people look up to them and they should respect that and be responsible.
