Daredevil robbers make away with hundreds of millions in Delta bullion van robbery

Armed robbers laid siege to a bullion van conveying heavy currency from Asaba at Ubulu Okiti, Delta State.

In the ensuing melee, a shootout occurred leading to many injured civilians and policemen as the daredevils attempted to make off with the money which is said to have run into hundreds of millions of Naira.

The robbers escaped with the money even as one policeman was feared dead.

Delta State Command Police PRO, DSP Celestina Kalu, said, “Several of our men and civilians were injured and are receiving treatment in hospitals.”
