Doctors Say Mandela Is In Vegetative State, Advise Family To Switch Off Life Support

Doctors treating former South African President, Nelson Mandela have said that the African hero is not responding to treatment and have advised the family to turn off the life support machine keeping him alive.

Mandela was admitted to the hospital last month with an acute lung infection.

There is no word on whether the family has taken a decision on pulling the plug on life support. It is expected that they will consult widely before taking any final measures.
