The Director of Media and Publicity, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga, has said that the Labour Party flagbearer, Peter Obi, is not who he pretends to be.
Onanuga said this in a Facebook post tagged, “Final message to Nigerian youths”.
The APC campaign spokesman shared a video interview of a victim of police brutality in Anambra State when Peter Obi was governor of the state.
In the video, the interviewee could be heard saying that the atrocities of the infamous Awkuzu SARS in Anambra happened with Obi’s blessing.
Onanuga said, “To those of you supporting Peter Obi because you took part in the EndSARS protest, please watch this short video.
“It is absurd you are backing Obi, because as a sitting governor, he used SARS to kill many young ones.
“The atrocities are well documented. Thus when VP Yemi Osinbajo ordered investigation of SARS in all states, Anambra’s probe was stopped by Obi via a court order.
“Don’t be fooled, Obi is far from being a saint. He is part of Nigeria’s problems.”
