The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested 44-year old Eseosasere Gift Osifo for alleged fraud and impersonation.
Reports say that the suspect was arraigned before an Osogbo Magistrate Court on 22nd of September for creating a Facebook account using details of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to defraud unsuspected victims.
According to Mr Onoche Ekwom, the principal legal officer of the DSS, the accused committed the offence between January and August before his arrest and court arraignment.
He also stated that the offence contravened sections 484 and 422 of the Criminal Code, Cap 34,Vol 11,Laws of Osun 2002.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of impersonation and fraud. He was granted bail in the sum of 500,00 and two sureties in like sum.
The case was adjourned to November 21 for hearing.
