EFCC declares UK-based Nigerian, Ashay Mervyn, 2 others wanted

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared United Kingdom-based Nigerian, Ashay Mervyn, formerly known as Ashiedu Abili, wanted.

Mervyn was declared wanted alongside two others, Chinedu Alexander Uwaezuoke and Oluwasegun Eniola Edwin-Rich in separate public notices published on Wednesday, March 13.

Sharing the suspect’s photo, the EFCC said Mervyn is wanted “in an alleged case of obtaining money under false pretence and fraudulent conversion of funds”.

“Mervyn, 42, is an indigene of Delta State and his last known address is: 3 Essian Street, London, E14QE,” it further said.

The anti-graft commission said Uwaezuoke is wanted “in an alleged case of stealing by conversion and obtaining goods by false pretence”.

“Uwaezuoke, 40, is from Imo State and his last known address is: No 14, Kubaye Street, off Providus Road, by First Bank, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State,” the EFCC said.

The EFCC said Edwin-Rich is wanted “in an alleged case of conspiracy, criminal breach of trust of obtaining money under false pretence”.

“Edwin-Rich, 60, is from Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State and his last known address is: No 5, Anzaku Samuel Street, Abuja,” the commission said.

The EFCC urged the public to furnish it with information that could lead to the arrest of the fleeing suspects.
