The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has commended troops of Operation Forest Sanity (OPFS) for neutralising a notorious bandit leader, Isiya Danwasa, who was responsible for several killings, kidnappings and cattle rustling operations across the state.
Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan conveyed the governor’s gratitude in a security update released on Tuesday.
According to the update, Danwasa met his end during a strategic ambush operation in Sabon Birni general area of Igabi local government area of the state.
El-Rufai praised the troops for the diligent intelligence work and precise execution which led to the demise of Danwasa and his associate.
The governor further appealed to members of general public to continue to volunteer information to security forces.
