Fake Afghan soldier arraigned for $1,000 fraud in Port Harcourt

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned one David Ikeaghichi for impersonating an Afghanistan soldier and obtaining $1,000 under false pretence.

In a Friday statement, the EFCC said its Port Harcourt Zonal Command arraigned the suspect before Justice S. D. Pam of the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Thursday, March 14.

The EFCC said Ikeaghichi is facing trial on two-count charges, which run contrary to Section 1 (1)(a & b) and punishable under Section 1(3) of the Advance Fee Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006.
