A father of four identified simply as Akin has died during a sex romp with his married and pregnant lover inside a container in the Orile area of Lagos.
Akin, also known as AK, was until his death a fruit merchant at the Orile Iganmu fruit market. He also owned two betting shops at the Adunni Plaza and at Badia Industrial Scheme, Ijora.
The lovers were said to have used the container as a shop and apartment.
The lovers were allegedly having sex inside the container over the weekend while a generator nearby was on and may have inhaled fumes from the generator, causing the man’s death.
A sales boy resuming for the day’s work was said to have discovered the incident.
A member of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) identified as Orebintin was quoted by Vanguard as saying, “We are still in shock. Nobody knows how it happened. This is not the first time they have been sleeping inside the container.
“One of the sales boys drew our attention to the tragedy. He came to open for the day’s sales, but discovered that the door was locked from inside.
“After several attempts to open it failed, we assisted him to force the cardboard attached to the roof of the container open. “On entering through the roof, we found Akin stone dead, while the woman was gasping for breath.
“We had to alert the police from Orile Division, who rushed the woman to a private hospital for treatment.”
