Fayose’s Corruption Charges: EFCC Gets 7-Day Ultimatum

An Ekiti State High Court sitting in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday issued the Economic and Financial Crimes Commissions seven-day ultimatum to respond to a suit filed by Governor Ayodele Fayose.

Also issued an ultimatum was the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission.

The motion was filed by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Owoseni Ajayi.

It seeks to stop the anti-graft agencies from investigating the accounts of the state government.

At the hearing on Tuesday, Justice Akintayo observed that the defendants were just served the motion on notice in court.

The judge adjourned the matter till August 29 for further hearing.
