Governor Obaseki Tests Negative to Coronavirus, Remains in Isolation

Governor Obaseki of Edo State has tested negative to the novel Coronavirus.

The Governor had gone into self isolation and undergone a Coronavirus test after having come into contact with Chief of Staff to the President Abba Kyari.

Abba Kyari had been diagnosed with Coronavirus after having attended a meeting in Germany where the viral infection is rife.

In a tweet on Thursday however, Governor Obaseki revealed that he tested negative to the Coronavirus.

He said further that he will remain in isolation pending the result of more tests.

“My rapid diagnostic test for #Coronavirus ( #COVIDー19 ) came back negative.

“However, while still asymptomatic, I have decided to remain in self-isolation and continue working from my private office at home pending the result of the more conclusive PCR test”

the Governor tweeted.
