Halle Bailey who was cast as the lead role of The Little Mermaid the movie, playing the character of Ariel, the mermaid, has shared the advice music maestro, Beyonce gave her when she landed the role.

Speaking on the beautiful advice she got from the Grammy winner, she said “She’s always been very, very complimentary and proud of me, and that means the world coming from her, somebody that’s been one of my biggest inspirations since I was 3”
Halle said this to Entertainment Weekly in an interview with them on the Little Mermaid cover story, going ahead to state further that “She just told me to stand in my power and to not give up and to know that I can do this and believe in myself.”

The Little Mermaid which is set to open in theatres come May 26 focuses on Halle who plays the character of Ariel, a princess of an underwater kingdom who fell in love with a prince from the earth world, a place she longs to explore.
The Little Mermaid is the movie version of the earlier released Disney cartoon which was released years ago.
