Popular Nigerian singer Harrison Okori, known as Harrysong, has shed light on his recent statement about considering a second wife. The renowned artist, who celebrated his wife Alexer Perez Gopa’s birthday on Instagram last Wednesday, playfully mentioned his intention to take a second wife. However, Harrysong clarified that his wife’s consent is essential before proceeding with such a decision.
In his heartfelt birthday message to his wife, Harrysong expressed his admiration and affection, referring to her as a God-fearing and sweet woman. Despite this, he humorously hinted that his desire for a second wife remained unchanged.
During a recent interview with Hip TV, Harrysong elaborated on his statement, emphasizing the importance of his wife’s agreement for any future plans. He conveyed his deep love and profound respect for his wife, highlighting that he would never take any action without her permission. The singer further explained that his inclination towards a second spouse stemmed from his desire to create a large, united family.
Harrysong reaffirmed his commitment to his wife, stressing that his intention to marry a second wife would only occur if she permits and agrees to it. He assured everyone that it would never be a sign of disrespect towards his wife. Instead, it would be a decision made with her involvement and consent, as they aim to form a harmonious and inclusive extended family.
“I love my wife so much. I take very good care of her. And I have great respect for her. I will not do anything that she is not a part of or that she would not permit. So, if I talk about marrying a second wife, yeah, maybe. But it would not be a disrespect to my wife. It will be what she permits, what she agrees to. Basically, I will not disrespect her. So, if I’m talking about marrying a second wife, just know that we are all going to be one big family, all together,” Harrysong clarified during the interview.
