Fulani herdsmen murder pregnant woman in Enugu

Suspected Fulani herdsmen have killed a pregnant woman in Nchatancha Nike in Enugu East Council Area of Enugu State.

This is coming barely three weeks after a Catholic priest of Enugu Diocese, Reverend Fr. Paul Offu was killed by herdsmen along Ihe-Agbude road in Awgu Local Government Area of the State,

The pregnant woman, whose name has not been identified, was said to have been murdered while returning from the farm and her stomach opened to remove her baby.

The State Police Command has confirmed the incident.

Speaking on the incident, state commissioner of police, Sulieman Balarabe, said the police was on top of the situation and would send details to our correspondent later in the day.

The Punch also reports that community members have blocked the Abakaliki Expressway, protesting the murder.
