House of Representatives Postpone Resumption for Party Primaries

House of Representatives has postponed its resumption that was initially slated for Wednesday (today) to December 16 in order to allow Members of the House to participate in Party Primaries.

According to a statement by the clerk to the house, Mr. Mohammed Sani-Omolori, “The House will now resume on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 10am.

“The leadership of the House took note of the adjustment in the calendar of the political parties and took the decision for the postponement to allow members of the House participate in the forthcoming primaries of their political parties.”

Political Parties in the country have started conducting primaries to elect candidates ahead of the 2015 General Elections.
