In a recent interview with GQ, Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, revealed the motivation behind his purchase of a multi-million-naira frog pendant from Ice Box.
The 30 Billion Gang boss disclosed that the unique accessory was his response to social media trolls who had been mocking him for his hoarse voice.
Addressing the issue head-on, Davido explained, “I made a frog pendant because my voice is hoarse and trolls were calling me frog on Twitter. I was like, you know what? I’m going to make a chain out of that sh*t.”
The frog pendant, a proof of Davido’s unapologetic self-expression, has garnered attention not only for its exquisite design but also for the empowering narrative behind its creation.
