Judy Austin, an actress and the second wife of popular Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, recently took to social media to directly address the critics of her marriage. In a heartfelt video shared on Yul’s official Facebook page, Judy, who recently welcomed her second child with the actor, expressed her frustration with those who constantly troll and criticize her and her husband.
Judy voiced her dissatisfaction with the insults and incessant criticisms directed towards her and Yul. She criticized Nigerians for attempting to control their lives, asserting that it is nonsensical for people to dictate how a man in his forties should live. Judy argued that those who consistently visit their social media pages to criticize them are exhibiting signs of mental instability.
Furthermore, Judy called out the notorious blogger, Gist Lover, for spreading unscrupulous and unverified rumors about her. She explained that these rumors subjected her to cyberbullying, leading to unnecessary stress and emotional turmoil. Judy’s frustration was palpable as she expressed her disappointment with the negative impact that baseless gossip can have on a person’s life.
Judy made it clear that her year-long silence should not be misconstrued as an inability to defend herself or a lack of desire to clear her name. Rather, she stated that she has reached a breaking point with self-righteous individuals who pass judgment and criticize her on social media without truly understanding the situation.
In a direct challenge to the critics, Judy asked Nigerians if they are aware of the underlying reasons why Yul chose her as his second wife. She emphasized that there is much more to their relationship than meets the eye and implored people to refrain from making judgments based on surface-level information.
