Just In: Police Arrest Sowore, Other Rights Activists

#RevolutionNow campaigner and rights activists, Omoleye Sowore, has been arrested, on Thursday, by security agents believed to be the Rapid Response Squad (RRS).

The Amnesty International designated Prisoner of Conscience, was apprehended, in Abuja, during a peaceful parade in the New Year.

Reports indicate that a number of other rights activists were apprehended.

Sources confirm that the alleged  RRS operatives arrived the scene of Gudu junction in Abuja, and whisked Sowore and other activists.

The suspected RRS operatives were said to have inflicted serious injuries on Sowore before carting him away along with other activists at the location.
