‘We kill on sight and do not bother arresting captured Haram members’ – Civilian JTF

Members of vigilante groups also called Civilian Joint Task Force killed several members of Boko Haram sect who had tried to attack some women in the Attagara village in Gwoza local government area of Borno State yesterday.

A witness said, “they wanted to hit the women with sticks but when they raised the sticks, their hands refused to descend.
“Three of the insurgents fled, but seven were not lucky as the women alerted the people.”

Mallam Mamman Yakubu, a 20 year old vigilante said he and his colleagues feel no need to arrest Boko Haram suspects or hand them over to authorities as they never revealed information under questioning.

He said, “We were able to kill many of the terrorists who invaded our community yesterday night.”
