The former governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva said those who participated in his persecution and removal as governor concluded that he was finished while declaring that lessons learnt from the ordeal that led to his removal as governor, will shape APC to unite the various political interests in the state.

He said this over the weekend while receiving his former aides including his former deputy, Werinipre Seibarogu, were two former acting governors, Werinipre Seibarugu and Nestor Binabo amongst others into the fold of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

“They never knew I was a tree planted to germinate in another place. They thought they were burying me; they never knew it was a seed they planted. When I became governor, they were fighting me from everywhere even from Otuoke.

“But the experience has shown that I am like a plantain tree, if they cut me from left, I grow another branch from the right. APC is a sweet family. The message taken from my experiences has shown that APC is out to unite Bayelsa people. APC will use the broom to sweep out hatred and emperor attitude of the PDP. APC has come and don’t make mistake, the removal of the PDP and failed administration of Dickson is a done deal.

“Go and tell them that the APC boat is loading and it is a boat of unity. If you don’t get on board, you will be marooned. Do you think we are joking? It is serious business,” he said.

Others decampees include the immediate past member of the House of Representative, Hon Warman Igoriba, a business morgul and owner of N. Sidoni Groups, Hon Selekaye Victor-Ben, former state representative at the Niger Delta Development Commission(NDDC), Orubo and former president of Ijaw Youths body, the Ijaw Youths Council, Jon Jon Iyonfie.
