The search for famous glee actress, Naya Rivera has come to an end as the 33-year-old’s body was recovered from Lake Piru by Ventura County officials on Monday.
According to TMZ, a body was found on Monday by Ventura County officials and authorities have confirmed that it is Naya Rivera.
A press conference sharing and the news publicly will hold soon.
Naya Rivera, who played high school cheerleader Santana Lopez in the television series until 2015, went missing on Wednesday after renting a boat on Lake Piru with her four-year-old son Josey.
“We are presuming that an accident happened and that she drowned in the lake,” Ventura Country Sheriff’s spokesman Chris Dyer said on Thursday.
Rivera’s son was found alone and sleeping in a drifting boat on Wednesday and told authorities they had both gone swimming but his mother never returned.
Lake Piru is a recreational reservoir about 50 miles north of downtown Los Angeles.
A surveillance footage released on Thursday shows the last moments Naya Rivera was seen alive before setting off on a boat ride with her son.
The video, from a camera at Lake Piru, shows Rivera pulling up on Wednesday in a black Jeep, wearing shorts and a baseball hat, and helping son Josey hop out, before grabbing a bag of supplies from the trunk.
