Popular On-Air Personality (OAP) Nedu has recently made controversial statements regarding the financial support received by male celebrities.
According to Nedu, many male celebrities rely on women to finance their lavish lifestyles. While it is commonly known that some women are comfortable with men covering their expenses, Nedu claims that there are men in the entertainment industry who also depend on women for financial support. Although he refrains from disclosing names, he asserts that he is personally acquainted with such individuals.

Nedu argues that although both genders may have their lifestyles funded by others, it is important not to claim equality, particularly on the part of women. He suggests that women should not compare themselves to those who work tirelessly to achieve their goals, emphasizing that true equality cannot be attained if someone else is responsible for financing one’s way of life.
Furthermore, Nedu criticizes women who proclaim their independence while secretly being supported by married men. He asserts that many of these women act as mistresses to married men, accumulating substantial wealth through these relationships. They then proceed to establish businesses, disguising their prosperity as a result of hard work and independence.
He said “Forget all this one that ladies are saying, ‘I’m independent’. My aunty, for you to open that shop, you collected money from five different men. And you are calling yourself independent. You are not. You should not be in that category. There are hard working ladies who toil and hustle for contracts. And when people want to disturb them, ‘You’ll have to sleep with me.’ They walk out of the office.”
