Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, Lagos State Gubernatorial Aspirant on the Platform of the Peoples Democratic Party has formally declared his intention to run for governor.
He made this formal declaration at National Stadium in Lagos Yesterday. The event was tagged “Walk with me”
Obanikoro said “We have seen billions spent on sand filling our waters, we have seen billions spent in repairing Bourdillon road and I believe it is time for a new change. I believe it it time for government to spend billions on upgrading infrastructures in Alimosho, in Shomolu, Kosofe and other parts.
“Under my administration, governance will be premised on three main pillars: 1st Grassroots Governance; 2nd Simple Solutions – where we immediately address our most critical challenges and 3rd Education.
“We will create malaria centres across all local governments in Lagos dedicated to providing preventive and responsive malaria treatment to our citizens. This initiative alone will immediately decongest our hospitals by over 50 per cent and allow our doctors focus on patients with more severe ailments.
“A greater Lagos is where hard working families can be successful in Lagos and where the down-trodden will be benefit from government. We must all stand together to ensure that we have a new and better Lagos. A new Lagos where the masses of the state will not be left out. That is the kind of Lagos that I offer.”
He also commended Governor Babatunde Fashola’s administration for catering to the affairs of the state for the past eight years.
