Pastor Tunde Bakare, founder of the Latter Rain Assembly has made a declaration, announcing himself as the next President of Nigeria.
It is to be known that Pastor Bakare was a running mate to President Muhammadu Buhari in 2011 Presidential elections.
The Latter Rain Assembly Founder made the declaration during the worship service at his church on Sunday. He named himself as a Successor to President Buhari in 2023, saying Buhari is number 15 while he is number 16.
“Take it to the mountain top, if you have never heard it, I’m saying it;
In the scheme of things as far as politics in Nigeria is concerned, President Buhari is number 15 and yours sincerely, I’m number 16.”
In the name of Jesus, he is number 15 , I am number 16
“To this end was I born, and for this purpose came I into the world. I’ve prepared you for this for more than 30 years”

Pastor Bakare also mentioned the reason he did not contest in the 2019 Presidential elections, saying the moment Buhari steps out, he will step in
“That’s why if he wants to run in 2019, I do not oppose he’s still number 15. It’s when he steps out that I step in”
The popular Pastor made a biblical reference where he likened President Buhari to Moses who only led the Israelites for a while and then handed over to Moses who finally led them to the promised land of Canaan. According to Pastor Tunde Bakare, He is the Joshua of Nigeria.
“His Assignment is that of Moses to take Nigeria to River Jordan but he can’t cross it. It will take a Joshua to go to the other side and begin to distribute resources to the people of this nation”
