Ever heard the term ‘crime against fashion’? Well, here’s a man who was literally charged for it.
Iranian goalkeeper has found himself in deep trouble with the Iranian Football Federation for a questionable fashion choice.
The IFF suspended the goalkeeper for 6 months due to the goalkeeper wearing Nickelodeon character, Spongebob Squarepants inspired trousers.
The picture cropped up on social media and the IFF took offense.
“Among the matters reviewed was Sosha Makani’s unconventional and inappropriate clothing,” ISNA news agency reported.
‘The ruling is not final and can be appealed,’
The player will feel hard done by the decision as he didn’t wear it to any formal event or the like that could be construed as embarrassing to the IFF.
