Photos: MMM Bounces Back With Democracy Day ‘Green Party’

2 Min Read

Online financial aid scheme, MMM-Nigeria, which has been labelled a ponzi scheme following its alleged crash and inability to pay some of its participant has bounced back with a party to celebrate Democracy day with Nigerians.

Recall that the online financial scheme was reported to have crashed after the top sponsor of the scheme, Chuddy Ugorji and his wife were reported to have fled to the Philippines.

The party themed ‘Green Party’ to celebrate the nation’s democracy day was held at the Millennium Park, in Abuja.

Speaking during the party, Mr Seyi Bello, the President of Abuja Guiders Forum of the MMM-Nigeria said the party was held as part of solidarity by the group for Nigeria’s 18-years of uninterrupted democracy.

He said: “This party is put together to celebrate our Democracy Day and since Nigeria’s flag is green-white-green, we decided to call it ‘green party’ as a mark of solidarity.”

The party had in attendance musicians, comedians and other entertainers as Bello explained further that the group boasts of over three million Nigerians.

He said: “That is what defines us as a community of people providing financial help to each other on the principle of reciprocity and benevolence. In MMM, there are no lenders and no debtors. One participant asks for help, another one helps.”
