Crafty King of Photoshop, Ayo The Creator, has been assaulted and arrested by the police after they allegedly found toy guns with him on his way to a film location.
Ayo The Creator (@ayothecreator) is popular on Instagram for editing and mashing up pictures of Nigerian and American celebrities into one frame. The hilarious nature of these pictures have earned him substantial follower-ship on social media, drawing attention from renowned Nigerian personalities
According to a video recorded on the creator’s Instagram making the rounds on micro-blogging site, Twitter, Ayo was detained by officers of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad. The Officers began assaulting him when they noticed they were being filmed as he kept on asking what his offence was.
Ayo The Creator is seen squirming for freedom while shouting “look at what Nigerian Police is doing to me” in a bid to protest the harsh treatment he received from officers of the force.
However, the officials of the force ordered Ayo to turn in his phone he used in filming however the digital artist remained defiant and refused to hand over his phone while he continued to recorded the incident via Instagram Live.
