Premier League Management Condemns Hamas-Israeli War, Announces Plan To Provide Aid For Civilians

Premier League management has condemned the ongoing war between Israeli forces and the Hamas sect, The Herald reports.

Condemning the war in a statement made available on its official Twitter handle, the English top-tier league expressed shock at the escalation of the war between Israeli and Hamas forces.

The EPL detailed that it was making plans to make donations to the British Red Cross to support the aid efforts in the region.

It further detailed that players match officials, and coaches will wear black armbands and observe a moment of silence as a mark of respect to those affected by the war in the next English Premier League Fixtures.

“The Premier League is shocked and saddened by the escalating crisis in Israel and Gaza, and strongly condemns the horrific and brutal acts of violence against innocent civilians,” the statement partly read.

The Herald recalls that the latest stand-off occurred after men of Hamas forces invaded Israeli territories, unprovoked.

According to reports, Hamas forces had killed about 40 Israeli civilians which triggered a retaliatory attack from the Israelis.

While nations have continued to take sides in the ongoing war, the Nigerian government called for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing war that has so far claimed over a thousand lives.
